      Questions regarding sending BTC

      Hello brothers,
So i am new to this whole BTC thing. I've invested in BTC for quite some time now (past few years), but I have never used BTC to make payments to people.
I just recently ran into a problem that I am not sure how to fix.
So I have some BTC's in my coinbase account. I then go to purchase something from one of our sponsors and I am given a transaction ID, something of the form 131241hghslfkj1231hflsajfld121, as an example.
So my question is this: do I just "send" my btc to this new transaction ID? is that how this is done?
In my coinbase account I have a "send/buy" tab. I can click on send and input this number as an "Address". I can then send the exact amount of BTC to this address.
      what am I missing?
      Thanks!

Well for one after this ditch coinbase as they suck. Use Cash app to buy BTC and send to your own BTC wallet, or just download a wallet like Atomic where you can buy BtC in and send.

When you send an order the other person should give you a wallet address. Itís usually long snd will look like this for example:

      16hkskje7883737hjdjdd7839392jsjsks7/&jsju

You got to your app, hit send button, enter amount In US$, enter that address to send to and hit SEND.

Gotcha, so I just did a trial run of sending btc from cash app to my exocus wallet and about 10 minutes later I was able to explore the transaction and find an actual transaction number.
My one question is it looks like the transaction number lists out aroun 179 different transactions all totaling 1.5 bitcoins. Why is this when I only sent $100 with bitcoin?

Is the the transaction number I would send to a sponsor for confirmation?
      Thanks
